Matt Smith, head of the police's cannabis dismantling team said: "Thanks to a report we received from a member of the public, a large amount of illegal drugs have now been removed from a public place and can no longer put our community at risk.
"Criminals involved in the growing of cannabis are often involved in serious organised crime and the associated violence and criminality that this brings - by removing these plants we’re making our streets safer.
"If you know anything about these plants being grown or have witnessed anything suspicious in the Deysbrook Lane area recently, please let us know and help us take action to find the people responsible and bring them to justice.
"Similarly if you have any information on suspected drugs being grown or supplied where you are, let us know and we will keep taking this positive action."
