Police have re-appealed to members of the community to help trace a “despicable” thug who robbed a Paisley pensioner in her own home.
Around 6.25pm on Thursday, November 14, a man entered a house in Windsor Crescent and assaulted the 88 year-old woman.
He then stole a three figure sum of cash, her bank cards and house keys.
Although she did not require hospital treatment, she has been left badly shaken as a result of this incident.
The man responsible is described as aged between 30 and 40 years and around 5ft 4 ins in height and of medium build with short cropped red hair.
He was w earing a brown jacket.
Detective Inspector Robert Bowie of Paisley Police Station said: “Although officers have carried out a number of enquiries in the area, we have not yet traced the man responsible for this despicable crime, and I am again asking the public to think back in case they remember something that will assist our enquiries.
“My officers are continuing to study CCTV footage from in and around Windsor Crescent. I would like to hear from anyone who witnessed anyone acting suspiciously in the area, or who recognises the description of the suspect as a matter of urgency.”
