Police re-appeal for info on rough sleeper who vanished from Scots care home

Police searching for a man last seen at a care home are re-appealing for information to trace the Scot, who's known to often sleep rough.

We told how Robert Tyler was last seen at Millbank House care home in Aberdeen at around 9pm on March 31.

The 63-year-old, known as Bob, has had connections to Edinburgh and Glasgow in the past.

He's previously travelled on public transport to both cities.

Police on Monday revealed that Bob was known to often travel around the Grampian area and beyond, as well as sleep on the streets.

He is described as five foot, seven inches tall with greying, short hair and of a slim build.

At the time he went missing he was wearing a black cagoule, green t-shirt, black canvas trainers and black jeans.

Police are urging anyone with information on his whereabouts to come forward.

A North East Police Division spokesperson previously told Record: "Police Scotland in Aberdeen are asking for help to trace a missing person, Robert Tytler, aged 63.

"He was last seen at Millbank House in Aberdeen about 9pm, on Tuesday, March 30.

"Robert, also known as Bob, is known to have previous connections to the Edinburgh and Glasgow areas and has travelled on public transport."

"Anyone with any information is asked to contact Police on 101 or via the Police Scotland website."

On Monday officers launched their re-appeal.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Police in Aberdeen have re-issued their appeal regarding Robert Tytler, known as Bob, 63, who was reported missing on March 31, 2021.

"Bob is known to travel throughout the Grampian area, sometimes further afield, often sleeping rough.

"At the time he went missing he was wearing black cagoule, green T-shirt, black canvas trainers and black jeans."
