Police have ramped up the search for a missing pensioner as concerns grow for his safety.
James Brannan suddenly vanished from his home in Aviemore sparking a frantic investigation to find him.
The 72-year-old was last seen late on the afternoon of Saturday, 5 February in the area of Spey Valley Golf Club.
He was reported missing on Tuesday, 8 February and extensive police enquiries have been ongoing since this time.
Searches have been ongoing in the area, with specialist and local officers supported by partners from HM Coastguard and Cairngorm and RAF mountain rescue teams.
Sergeant Craig Johnstone of Aviemore Police Station said: “We are growing increasingly concerned for James the longer he remains missing.
“I would urge anyone who has any information or who believes they may have seen him at any time since Saturday afternoon to get in touch.
“Given the recent weather I would also urge anyone who lives locally and has a shed or outbuilding where someone could seek shelter to check this and report anything out of the ordinary to us."
James is believed to have been wearing blue jeans, a dark winter jacket and walking boots.
He is described as being around 5ft 10in tall and of thin build with medium-length grey hair and a grey beard.
