Police ram stolen Audi to end chase going wrong way down M62 near Leeds

Police brought a dangerous car chase to an end by ramming a stolen Audi as it drove the wrong way on the M62 near Leeds.

The dramatic event unfolded on the M62 last night at junction 27 for Gildersome.

Three people have been arrested by West Yorkshire Police as a result.

The Audi was taken from a recent burglary and was initially pursued by police the right way down the M62 between junction 28 for Tingley and junction 27.

It then left the motorway and rejoined in the wrong direction.

It was at this point that a police vehicle connected with the fleeing suspects' car, bringing the chase to a dramatic conclusion.
