Police raid uncovers more than 100 cannabis plants at farm hidden inside Bury home

A police have seized more than 100 cannabis plants in a raid on a farm hidden inside a Bury property.

Officers attended an address on Bedford Street, near Clarence Park, yesterday afternoon (February 16).

Inside they uncovered 101 plants in various stages of growth in a room wired up with heat lamps and covered in white sheeting.

An officer from GMP's Bury South Team posted images of the set-up on Facebook.

They said: "Today, Bury Central officers from the Moorside and Redvales area teams assisted by the divisional tasking team executed a positive warrant at Bedford Street, Bury.

"A cannabis farm was discovered with a 101 plants in total.

"There is a current investigation ongoing."

Over the weekend, officers in Bolton discovered a similar farm hidden inside a property in Tonge Moor.

A 53-year-old man was arrested at the scene and the plants were seized and removed from the home.
