Riot cops raided a Paisley flat after reports a gun had been stashed inside.
The Paisley Daily Express understands officers from the Serious and Organised Crime Unit searched the Ferguslie Main Road home for a firearm last night.
Police Scotland are remaining tight-lipped about the operation but confirmed officers had attended the property.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: "Following an intelligence led operation, officers from the Serious and Organised Crime Unit at Paisley attended at an address in Ferguslie on Monday evening.
“No arrests were made"
