Police raid massive Bristol cannabis den

Police have revealed they found almost 200 cannabis plants in an Easton home.

Officers raided the Whitehall Road property on Tuesday morning (February 2), temporarily closing the road.

An Avon and Somerset police spokesman said officers seized 199 cannabis plants from the home.

He added: "It was also discovered that electricity had been abstracted, which is extremely dangerous and poses a significant risk of causing a fire."

Western Power Distribution attended to make the electrics safe and will need to return for further work.

“Specialist police staff will also attend to remove and destroy the plants," the force spokesman said.
