Police officers seized a large quantity of cannabis plants after raiding a property in Bargoed .
Officers from Gwent Police forced entry into an address in the area on Tuesday, July 9, and found a large cultivation of the Class B drug with more than 200 plants discovered.
A "significant number of plants were seized" from the Gilfach Street property according to police officers' social media posts.
They also found "cultivation equipment" during the raid which took place at around midday on Tuesday.

They said on Twitter: "Another highly successful drugs warrant executed today by Bargoed officers. Entry was forced at an address in the Bargoed area where officers found a large cannabis cultivation."

A spokesman for Gwent Police said: "Officers executed a search warrant in a property on Gilfach Street, Bargoed. Over 200 cannabis plants were seized along with equipment to grow these plants.
"Enquiries are ongoing."
