Police raced to an 'attack' in a Motherwell garden where kids are understood to have been enjoying a children's party.
Emergency services attended a property on St Vincent Place in the town on Sunday evening where numerous police vehicles and an ambulance were seen parked outside.
Locals said there had been an assault in the back garden of a flat block on the street but this has yet to be confirmed.
Police officers remained on the scene last night and part of the garden was taped off.
It is understood a party was taking place in the garden before the attack.

A bouncy castle hire van leaving the property
A bouncy castle had been on the grass but was removed shortly afterwards.
The exact circumstances surrounding the incident are not yet known.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman told Lanarkshire Live: "Two men, aged 55 and 29, were arrested.
"The 55-year-old man was taken to Wishaw General with a serious, but not life threatening, facial injury. Enquiries are ongoing."
