Police race to Scots street after 'unexplained' death of 33-year-old man

Cops have launched a probe after the 'unexplained' death of a 33-year-old man at a Scots home.

Officers were called to Queen Margaret Drive in Glenrothes, Fife at around 1.10pm today after being told of the 'sudden' death of the man.

Police went inside and made the grim discovery of the man dead inside the property.

Locals on social media have reported seeing cops and forensics officers in the area earlier today.

The death is being treated as unexplained but a police spokeswoman added that 'there do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances'.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “Around 1.10pm on Tuesday, 9 February, we received a report of the sudden death of 33-year-old man within a property on Queen Margaret Drive in Glenrothes.

“The death is currently being treated as unexplained, but there does not appear to be any suspicious circumstances.

“A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
