Police race to Scots street after 'stabbing' as teenager rushed to hospital

Police raced to a street in Livingston after reports that a teenager had been 'stabbed'.

Emergency services scrambled to Ogilvie Way in the town after the incident happened at around 5.20pm.

Cops say a 15-year-old boy was 'seriously assaulted' in the attack.

The schoolboy was taken to the Royal Hospital for Sick Children in Edinburgh for treatment.

His condition is not yet known but police enquiries into the incident are ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We were called to Ogilvie Way in Livingston at 5.20pm on Thursday, February 18 after a 15-year-old boy had been seriously assaulted.

"He was taken to the Royal Hospital for Sick Children in Edinburgh for treatment.

"Enquiries are ongoing.”
