Police race to Scots holiday park after man dies in caravan

Emergency services rushed to a Scots holiday spot yesterday following the death of a 41-year-old man.

Police received a call about a sudden death in a caravan at Auchenlarie Holiday Park in Castle Douglas.

Witnesses spotted the caravan had been cordoned off and an ambulance and police vans surrounded the scene.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Police Scotland was made aware of the sudden death of a 41-year-old man within caravan at a holiday park in the Gatehouse of Fleet area around 4.05pm on Wednesday, 29 July.

“The death is currently being treated as unexplained and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal in due course."
