Police race to Scotland Street in Kinning Park with significant emergency service presence on scene

A significant police presence has been seen racing to the Kinning Park area of Glasgow this afternoon.

Footage shared online shows a number of police cars rushing to the junction of Scotland Street and Carnoustie Place where there are a number of warehouses and industrial units in the surrounding area.

One eyewitness reported the incident shortly before 1.30pm this afternoon and said: "13.20 - Police race to Kinning Park. Eight units."

Glasgow Live are awaiting comment from Police Scotland.

UPDATE: A Police Scotland spokesperson confirmed: "Around 1.10pm on Monday, 29 June, police were called to a report of a disturbance on Scotland Street, Glasgow.

"A 50-year-old man has been arrested in connection and taken to hospital as a precaution."
