Police have raced to the scene of a motorbike crash on a busy Edinburgh bypass.
Officers were called to the A720 City Bypass near the Calder Junction this afternoon.
They remain in attendance and the road has been shut to motorists while investigations are carried out.
The westbound exit slip at Calder remains closed as a result of the road traffic collision.
It comes as Traffic Scotland have warned of heavy congestion in the area.
Updates have been posted on Twitter for drivers in the area.
A Police Scotland statement said: “Officers are currently in attendance at the #A720 City Bypass to Calder Junction following a crash involving a motorbike. The slip road is currently closed.”
