Police have raced to the scene of a major crash on the M8 this afternoon.
Emergency services scrambled to the busy motorway after two vehicles collided near junction 25a at Braehead.
Traffic was held up by officers following the accident.
The extent of any injuries as a result of the crash is not yet known.
Police remain on the scene.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We were made aware of a crash involving two cars on the M8 near junction 25a around 1.20pm on Saturday, 20 March.
"Police are currently at the scene."
