Police race to ongoing incident in Johnstone

Emergency services raced to an ongoing incident in Johnstone this afternoon.

Firefighters and police officers are currently on the scene at MacDowall Street.

The road has been cordoned off to the public and passing traffic while the incident is ongoing.

Officers are stationed on the street and firefighters and paramedics could also be seen standing by outside a property in the town centre.

Traffic is currently being diverted, with bus operator McGill's stating services had been changed to avoid the area.

Police Scotland has been contacted for comment.
