Police race to ongoing incident in Glasgow as 'several people' involved in disturbance

Emergency services have raced to an ongoing incident in Glasgow.

Police were called to the scene of a disturbance involving 'several people' on Balgrayhill Road in Springburn at around 7pm on Friday January 22.

The nature of the incident is not yet known but police told the Daily Record it involved 'several people'.

Locals reported a huge police presence near the old Talisman pub near the shops.

The disturbance happened near the site of the old Talisman pub beside the shops (Google Maps)

An eye-witness said: "There's an ongoing Incident on Balgrayhill Road near the old Talisman pub.

"Police and ambulances are in attendance.

"Hope everyone is okay."

A second said: "Police are flying about everywhere down here."

Officers and emergency service crews are still on the scene and have launched an investigation.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "Around 7:05pm, police received a report of a disturbance involving several people in Balgrayhill Road. 

"Emergency services are in attendance and enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances."
