Police have raced to a tower block in Glasgow amid reports of a 'hostage situation'.
Various police cars have been spotted at the scene of the ongoing incident on Strowan Street in the Sandyhills area.
One local told Glasgow Live that he believes a hostage situation is taking place.
The onlooker said there were "loads" of police cars and support unit vans in the area and officers with protective shields entering one block of flats, as well as a police helicopter in the vicinity.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "We can confirm we are in attendance at an ongoing incident".
