Police race to Leonardo Hotel in Murrayfield to arrest man 'with a knife'

Police cars raced to a hotel in Edinburgh this morning after reports of a man in possession of a 'knife'

Multiple police vans and dog units were seen outside the Leonardo Hotel in Murrayfield on Clermiston Road at around 10.45 this morning.

Police were called to the scene and have confirmed they have arrested a 45-year-old man with possession of a knife.

A Police Scotland spokesperson told The Sun: "We received a report of a man in possession of a knife in the Corstorphine Hill area of Edinburgh around 10.50am on Saturday, 6 June, 2020.

"Officers attended and arrested a 45-year-old man.

“Nobody was injured.

“He was arrested and charged and is due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Monday, 8 June, 2020."
