Police race to Kirkintilloch flat where man found critically injured

A man has been left fighting for his life in hospital following an incident in Kirkintilloch.

Emergency services were called to a flat on Braehead Street in the town at 8am this morning.

The 29-year-old man was found seriously injured within the property by police and ambulance services.

He was quickly rushed to Glasgow Royal Infirmary and has been described as being in a “critical” condition.

Police are now launching investigations to determine what happened.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 8am this morning, Saturday, 22 August, 2020, police and emergency services were called after a 29-year-old man was found seriously injured within a flat in Braehead Street, Kirkintilloch.

“He was taken by ambulance to Glasgow Royal Infirmary where medical staff describe his condition as critical.

“Enquiries into the incident are continuing.”
