Police race to Hunter Square in Edinburgh as area cordoned off

Emergency services raced to Hunter Square in Edinburgh city centre tonight where police have erected a cordon.

Several police vans and an ambulance were spotted at the scene.

The cordon stretches across the steps of the Tron Kirk which backs on to the square.

Police Scotland have been contacted for comment.
