Police race to horror three car crash in Fife as road closed

A three car crash has forced police to shut down a busy Scots road.

Mercy crews raced to the smash on the A91 at Stratheden in Fife after the alarm was raised at 5.40pm.

Cops remain on the scene of the incident that happened on a fast straight, close to the Quaker Oats factory.

The road is currently closed in both directions.

Images of the crash emerged online with a photo on the Fife Jammers' Facebook page showing officers on the scene.

It is unclear if there are any injuries as a result of the crash.

Police Scotland spokesman said: "We received reports of a three car crash on the A91 at Stratheden at 5.40pm on Friday 5th March.

"Officers are in attendance and the road is currently closed in both directions.

"There are no details of injuries."
