Police race to Grangemouth as officers seen running into flats after 'disturbance'

A man has been charged after police raced to the scene of an 'ongoing incident' near Falkirk.

Pictures from Strowan Road, Grangemouth, showed a number of marked vehicles outside a property on Thursday evening.

It is believed around five vans and a car were called, with around eight officers seen racing into a block of flats.

Police Scotland confirmed they were called following reports of a disturbance and have charged a 36-year-old man.

A spokesperson said: "Around 9.30pm on Thursday, 6 August, 2020, officers responded to a report of a disturbance at a property on Strowan Road, Grangemouth. There were no reports of any injury.

"A 36-year-old man has been charged in connection and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal."
