Police race to Glasgow's Drumchapel amid reports of boy 'falling into hole' on building site

Emergency services have raced to a building site in Glasgow amid reports of concerns for a child.

Police and fire bridge vehicles have been pictured near Kinfauns Drive in Drumchapel.

Traffic is tailed back near to the scene as emergency services deal with the ongoing incident (Daily Record)

Locals say roads have been closed off and that there is a large police presence.

Rumours sweeping the area claim that a young boy has fallen into a drain at the site.

The Daily Record have contacted Police Scotland but have been unable to get an update on the situation.

However, pictures on social media shows the emergency services at the building site while other images show traffic near the scene tailed back due to the ongoing incident.

Work has been ongoing in the area near Kinfauns Drive as part of a £5million drainage project to help combat flooding with engineers also planning to realign Gardscadden Burn.
