Police race to Glasgow property following death of 68-year-old man

Police attended a house on Campsie Street, Glasgow, earlier today following the sudden death of a 68-year-old man on Monday.

We reported earlier how a large emergency presence was seen on the street with police spotted leaving the property.

Officers have since confirmed the response was a routine checkup following the sudden death of the man which is not being treated as suspicious.

Police arrived at the property around 2.30pm and remained there for a number of hours while forensics were spotted arriving in specialist vehicles.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 1.30pm on Monday, 25 January, officers were called to a property on Campsie Street, Glasgow, following the sudden death of a 68-year-old man.

"There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances and a report was submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
