Police race to Fife road as man rushed to hospital following attack

A man has been rushed to hospital following an alleged assault on a road in Fife.

Police swooped on a residential area in Kelty after the incident happened at around 9am this morning.

A 43-year-old man has been arrested after he allegedly assaulted the 40-year-old on Keltyhill Road.

A large police presence has been reported on the scene (Fife Jammer Locations)

Emergency services raced to the scene and the victim was taken to Victoria Hospital for treatment.

A large police presence has been reported on the scene with one local saying: "There's police everywhere, just passed them."

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "Around 9.05am on Saturday, February 6, police were called following the alleged assault of a 40-year-old man on Keltyhill Road, Kelty at 6pm on Friday, 5 January 2021.

"He is receiving treatment at the Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy.

"A 43-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and enquiries are continuing."
