Police race to 'disturbance' at Grangemouth park after locals hear screams

Cops raced to the scene of a 'disturbance' near a park in a Scots town this afternoon..

Police Scotland were alerted to an incident at Zetland Park in Grangemouth just after 1:30pm after locals reportedly heard screams outside.

Officers are now searching the area as part of an ongoing investigation.

One local resident told Falkirk Live that there were up to seven police cars on the scene, with cops patrolling the area on foot.

Pictures show officers standing on a public footbridge, and police cars and vans stationary in the street.

Officers say that they have started an investigation into the incident.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers were called to reports of a disturbance at Zetland Park, Grangemouth at around 1.40pm on Monday, 6 June, 2022.

“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
