Police race to Aberdeen home after sudden death of pensioner

Emergency services raced to the home of a pensioner who died suddenly in Aberdeen.

Police officers were called to Queen's Avenue in the city around 1am this morning (Saturday) following the death.

Ambulance crews and a black van were also spotted at the scene at 1.30am.

Officers confirmed an 83-year-old woman was found dead at the property, however, there are no apparent suspicious circumstances.

A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
