Police pull over driver seen drinking from a bottle of vodka - only to find it was full of water

Police who pulled over a driver drinking from a vodka bottle discovered it was full of water - and the suspect was being eco-friendly. Thames Valley Police stopped the man in Reading after receiving a call regarding an individual drinking from a vodka bottle in a car park.

Police officers stopped them a short distance down the road driving onto the A33. After a below zero level on the breathalyser, the individual revealed that the bottle was filled with water.

They admitted they "like to drink from glass bottles and not plastic". The vodka bottle was "the largest bottle they [had]."

TVP Roads Policing Facebook said: "Received a call earlier about a person sat in their car drinking from a bottle of vodka in a car park looking like they were about to drive away in the green park area of #Reading. Car located and stopped a short distance down the road driving onto the #A33.

"Driver admitted to drinking from the vodka bottle on their passenger seat, but surprisingly blew zero on the breathalyser… It transpires that it’s actually filled with water, as they like to drink from glass bottles and not plastic… and this is the largest bottle they have!

They followed it with a string of laughing emoji's. They then added: "Some friendly words of advice given to try and prevent further unnecessary calls."
