Police pull body from Scots loch in search for missing man Kenneth Watson

Police have pulled the body of man from a Scots Loch in the search for missing Kenneth Watson.

Cops made the tragic discovery today at around 11am at Castle Semple Loch in Lochwinnoch.

Kenneth's family have now been made aware but formal identification has still to take place.

It comes after the 62-year-old vanished from his Beith home in North Ayrshire at around 9.30pm on Tuesday November 30.

A major search was launched by police, and Kenneth's car was found three-and-a-half miles away near to Lochlip Road, Lochwinnoch, in neighbouring Renfrewshire.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "The body of a man was found in Castle Semple Loch, Lochwinnoch, around 11am on Monday, 6 December.

"Formal identification has still to take place, however, the family of missing man Kenneth Watson have been informed.

"Enquiries are ongoing and the death is not being treated as suspicious."
