West Yorkshire Police have confirmed that after a fight broke out between a group of men.
The force received two reports of a disturbance on Branch Road at around 3:10pm on Saturday, March 23.
Officers arrived at the scene to find a man with a small puncture wound behind his ear . He was later taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries.
The road was cordoned off from the junction with Town Street to the crossroads with Beech Drive, around 40 metres down the hill.
Forensic officers were on the scene throughout Saturday evening, focussing their searches on the area outside a barbers shop.
No arrests have yet been made, but enquiries are still ongoing.
