A man has been charged after a car reportedly 'sank to the bottom' of a loch near Glasgow.
Emergency services responded to Strathclyde Country Park at around 7.20pm on Saturday following reports that a vehicle had rolled into the water.
Reports on social media claimed that a car had "sunk to the bottom" of Strathclyde Loch.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) deployed three fire engines and two boats to the scene.
The vehicle was recovered from the water, and no one was injured.
Police have since confirmed that a man has been charged in connection with an alleged road traffic offence.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were made aware of a car that had rolled into the water at Strathclyde Loch around 7.20pm on Saturday, June 21, 2025.
“Emergency services attended, the vehicle was recovered, and no one was injured. One man was charged in connection with a road traffic offence.”
An SFRS spokesperson previously commented: “We received a call at around 7.20pm on Saturday, June 21, 2025, to reports of a vehicle in the water at Strathclyde Country Park.
“Operations Control mobilised three appliances and two boats to the scene. Crews left the area at around 7.30pm.
“There were no reported injuries.”
