Police probing Renfrewshire delivery driver robbery insist no crime took place

Police investigating the an apparent robbery of a delivery driver at knife-point have now revealed no crime has taken place.

Officers had initially been appealing for information from the public after the supposed incident, in which a deliver driver was left "shaken" after being robbed of a two-figure sum of cash in Inchinnan.

The 43-year-old was carrying out deliveries in Luckinsford Avenue then Luckinsford Road in the Renfrewshire town on Saturday evening.

But a spokesperson has since confirmed: "Following police enquiries it has been established that no crime took place."
