Police probe unexplained Scotstoun death as man found dead on Danes Drive

Police have launched an investigation after a man was found dead in Scotstoun in the west of Glasgow.

Officers were alerted to the tragic discovery on Danes Drive in the early hours of this morning at around 5.30am.

The death is being treated as 'unexplained' as police work to establish the circumstances.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 5.30am on Monday, April 5, a man was found dead in Danes Drive.

“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the identity of the man and the circumstances surrounding his death, which police are treating as unexplained."

Police are also investigating after a man was found injured in a close in Knightswood leaving him in a critical condition.

The 43-year-old was discovered at a block of flats on Kirkton Avenue this morning around 3am this morning.
