Police probe 'unexplained' deaths in Perthshire village

Police are probing the mysterious deaths of two people in a Scots village.

The bodies of a man and woman were found in a house on Almondbank, on the outskirts of Perth, on Friday afternoon.

Cops raced to the home in Scroggiehill on Friday afternoon, after a member of the public raised the alarm.

Police said they were treating the deaths of the 32-year-old woman and 35-year-old man as 'unexplained'.

The pair are understood to be a couple but cops have not released details.

Floral tributes and cards have been left on the doorstep of the property, according to the Dundee Courier.

A police spokesman did not confirm the identity of the people.

He said: "Officers attended at an address in Scroggiehill, Almondbank, Perth at midday on Friday, following the sudden deaths of a 35-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman.

"The deaths are being treated as unexplained but there are not thought to be any apparent suspicious circumstances. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
