Police probe 'unexplained death' after man's body found in Glasgow woodland

Police are probing an unexplained death of a man whose body was found in an area of woodland in Glasgow.

Emergency crews raced to Glazert Water near the Station Road area of Lennoxtown at around 7pm on Thursday night.

A 50-year-old man was sadly found dead at the scene.

Officers are now carrying out investigations into the incident and have so far described the sudden death as ‘unexplained’

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Emergency services were called to Glazert Water, near to the Station Road area of Lennoxtown around 7pm on Thursday, 7 May, following the sudden death of a 50-year-old man.


“Enquiries to establish the circumstances surrounding the death, which is currently being treated as unexplained, are ongoing.


“A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
