Police are investigating after a 83-year-old woman was found dead at a house in Erskine.
Emergency services made the grim discovery at the property in Macduff at around 9.55am yesterday (Thursday, July 6).
Cops are currently treating the death as unexplained, and a post mortem examination is due to take place.
A spokeswoman from Police Scotland said: "At around 9.55am on Thursday, July 6 an 83-year-old woman was found dead within a house in Macduff.
"A post mortem examination is due to take place to establish the exact cause of death which officers are currently treating as unexplained.
"A report will be sent to the procurator fiscal."
