Police probe theft of high value antiques stolen in late night raid

A number of high value items were stolen during a raid at an antique centre near Doune.

A thief broke in to the Scottish Antique Centre at Carse of Cambus Cottage, Buchany, overnight between Wednesday and yesterday (Thursday) morning.

Police believe that the crook entered the premises with the use of a ladder to get on to the roof and entered through a window there.

Police and the centre owners were yesterday continuing to conduct a review to determine the exact items which were taken and their values.

Inspector Andy Bushell, from Forth Valley Police Division, said: “I would urge anyone with any information or who may have witnessed someone in the area carrying a pair of ladders or has noticed their own ladders are missing to get in touch.”

Anyone with any information should contact police by calling 101 or anonymously by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
