ACT Police are investigating a suspicious early morning fire that destroyed a house on Clift Crescent overnight.
Fire and rescue crews were called to a house in Richardson just before 3am on Sunday, following reports of flames.
No individuals were inside the property and no injuries were reported after the blaze was extinguished by firefighters, according to authorities.
The house sustained significant damage and has been deemed uninhabitable.
A police spokesperson said an investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing and confirmed the incident was being treated as suspicious.
Forensics crews remain on the scene as of Sunday afternoon, and police are appealing to anyone with further information to come forward.
In a separate incident earlier this month, an elderly woman died following a house fire that broke out in Hughes.
Authorities are also investigating the death of a woman in a unit fire in Belconnen, which is being treated as a homicide.
