Police probe stabbing after man found with serious injuries at Glasgow bus stop

Police are investigating a stabbing after a man was found with serious injuries at a Glasgow bus stop.

Emergency services rushed to Kinfauns Drive, near its junction at Goyle Avenue, in Drumchapel to treat the man at around 5.50am on Tuesday morning.

The 20-year-old was rushed to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital (QEUH) where he is being treated for stab wounds and slashes.

His condition has been described as serious by medical staff.

Police Scotland officials believe that the man was not stabbed at the bus stop as they continue their investigation into the incident.

Detective Sergeant Scott Brockie of Drumchapel Police Station said: “We do not believe that the man was attacked within the bus stop, and we are carrying out enquiries in the local area to establish the exact circumstances and where it took place.

“Kinfauns Drive is a busy main thoroughfare, and I would ask anyone who was in this area this morning who witnessed any assault take place, or who has any information on the circumstances surrounding this incident to contact Drumchapel Police Station through 101 quoting reference number 0402 of November 26.

“Alternatively Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained.”
