Police are investigating an alleged serious sexual assault on a teenage girl in Wishaw this morning.
The 16-year-old was allegedly attacked on a Coltness street at around 12.05am.
A 15-year-old boy was arrested and later released.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “At 12.05pm on Thursday, May 23, officers received a report of a 16-year-old girl being subjected to a serious sexual assault in Coltness.
“A 15-year-old male was arrested and released pending further investigations.”
