Police Scotland are investigating a banner displayed by Rangers supporters ahead of the Scottish Premiership match against Celtic.
Fans in the Copland Stand at Ibrox took part in a display depicting Graeme Souness holding a shotgun - inspired by a real photograph of the former Rangers player and manager.
The display also featured the words: "Take aim against the rebel scum".
The image of Souness was based on a photo-op of the former Scotland internationalist holding a shotgun during a photo-op in Malaga, Spain ahead of the World Cup in 1982.
Now, though, Police Scotland officers are carrying out enquiries over the display at Ibrox on Sunday.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We are aware of the banner and enquiries are ongoing.”
The banner is being held by Police Scotland while investigations into the matter are being carried out.
