Police probe launched as man dies suddenly in Argyle Street building

The body of a man has been found at a building on Argyle Street.

Emergency services were called to the property at around 5.20pm following reports of the sudden death of a 51-year-old man.

Investigations into the death are ongoing and a report is due to be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

Police and ambulance crews were at the scene, near Hope Street, earlier this afternoon.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "Police were called around 5.20pm on Tuesday, 26 January, 2021 following the sudden death of a 51-year-old man at an address on Argyle Street, Glasgow.

"Enquiries into the death are ongoing and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
