Police probe launched after body found near school in Cumbernauld

A body was discovered near a school in Cumbernauld this morning.

The man was found at 7.45am on Dowanfield Road near Our Lady's High School.

Police are currently treating the death as 'unexplained' and have launched a probe.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said : "The body of a man was discovered off Dowanfield Road in Cumbernauld around 7.45 am on Wednesday, November 13.

"His death is currently being treated as unexplained and inquiries are being carried out to establish the full circumstances."
