Police probe launched after body found inside Lanarkshire flat

A police probe has been launched after a man was found dead in a flat in Lanarkshire.

The 24-year-old’s body was discovered in a flat in Crindledyke Crescent, Newmains.

The man was found dead around 3.55am on Saturday.

Another male, 29, was arrested in connection with the incident.

He is due to appear at Hamilton Sheriff Court later today.

A statement from Police Scotland read: "Police Scotland can confirm that a 29-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the death of a 28-year-old man at a flat in Crindledyke Crescent, Wishaw, on Saturday, 27 June, 2020. 

"The man is due to appear at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Monday, 29 June, 2020."
