Police search for teenage boy after fatal stabbing on Central Coast

Police are searching for a teenage boy who may be able to help with their investigation into a fatal stabbing on the Central Coast on Tuesday.

About 7.30pm Tuesday July 28, emergency services were called to Mann Street, Gosford, following reports of a stabbing.

A man has died after he was fatally stabbed on the Central Coast.

IN NEWS TODAY:

Brisbane Water police officers were sent to the incident, as well as NSW Ambulance paramedics.

According to a statement from police, officers "found a 22-year-old man had been stabbed" and the area was quickly cordoned off to the public.

The man was treated by paramedics at the scene before being taken to Gosford Hospital.

A short time later, police were notified the man had died in hospital.

A police statement said he was yet to be formally identified.

Police established a crime scene and began an investigation under Strike Force Volaru.

Officers are attempting to locate a teenage boy seen in the area at the time.

He was described as being about 175 centimetres tall, of medium build, with short dark hair and wearing a vest over shirt and long pants.

Police have urged anyone with relevant footage of information related to the incident to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
