Police have launched a probe after two separate vehicles were stolen from the car park at Ayr Hospital.
Officers are investigating after a Ford Transit van and Ford Fiesta were both stolen from the hospital grounds yesterday.
Police confirmed the van, which was reported stolen in the afternoon, was recovered later in the day.
But a search for the car remains ongoing after it was reported stolen later in the evening.
A Police Scotland spokesperson told Ayrshire Live: "Around 3.40pm on Friday, February 12, officers received report of a Ford Transit van stolen from the car park at University Hospital Ayr.
"The van was recovered later in the day and enquiries are ongoing."
They added: “Around 7.40pm on Friday, February 12, officers received report of a Ford Fiesta car stolen from the car park at University Hospital Ayr.
"The car remains outstanding and enquiries are ongoing.”
