Police probe 'disturbance' on North Glasgow street after man rushed to hospital

A man has been rushed to hospital following a 'disturbance' on a street in the north of Glasgow.

Police were called to the incident on Maryhill Road near Bilsland Drive in Ruchhill yesterday evening at around 5.40pm.

Ambulance crews attended and a man was taken to Glasgow's Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment to his injuries. His condition is unknown at this time.

Meanwhile police have confirmed enquiries into the incident are ongoing as they launch an investigation.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We can confirm that officers were made aware of a disturbance on Maryhill Road in Glasgow around 5.40pm on Thursday, 13 January.

“A man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment to injuries and enquiries into the incident remain ongoing.”
