Police probe after woman's body found in Edinburgh park

Police have cordoned off a public park in Edinburgh after a woman’s body was found.

Officers were called to King George V Park at around 7.40am on Tuesday morning.

Several police cars have been spotted in the area, while the entrances have been taped off to members of the public.

Police Scotland have launched a probe into the woman’s death, which remains ‘unexplained’.

A spokesperson for the force said: “Officers were called to King George V Park, Edinburgh at 7.40am after the body of a woman was found.

“Enquiries are ongoing into the cause of her unexplained death.”
